Merlijn Twaalfhoven (1976) is studying composition at the Amsterdam Sweelink Conservatorium. Besides, he has been studying the viola from his childhood. His orchestral works has been performed by some major Dutch orchestras and at the Holland Festival. He is regarded as one of the most promising young composers in Holland.
