Glenn Hahn (percussion)



Glenn Hahn (43) is a percussionist. He was born in Surinam and moved to Amsterdam at age 16. Glenn took lessons with musicians like Raoul Burnett, Tito Puente, Patato Valdez, and Ray Barretto. He gave many concerts, among others with his own group La Vie en Rose, and with the Japanese percussion ensemble Ondekoza (1984, Japan and Europe). He also gave world-wide workshops and for many years has been workshop leader at the Amsterdam cultural centre Melkweg. He is the founder of Amasur2000, the foundation that wants to foster further attention to the necessity of the Surinam rainforest. Glenn will come to Hirado with his wife Itje.
